Club Office Bearers and Committees

Office Bearers
The office-bearers of the Club are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The roles are:
  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary and
  • Treasurer

One of the management committee member also acts as the club's membership officer.

There is a position description for each office bearer and the membership officer below.

The management committee consists of:
  • the office-bearers of the Club, and
  • at least three ordinary committee members.

Position Descriptions

Office Bearers
All members of the management committee attend and contribute to Club general meetings and management meetings.

President
  • Coordinates and chairs management committee and general meetings, including the AGM
  • Liaises with committee members

Vice President
  • Fills in during the absence of the President
  • Attends and contributes to management committee meetings

Secretary
  • Prepares agendas for management committee and general meetings, including the AGM
  • Takes minutes of management committee and general meetings, including the AGM
  • Manages the Club's email account and online file storage
  • Collects mail and answers correspondence in partnership with other committee members​

Treasurer
  • Ensures that all money received by the club is accounted for, and that all authorised payments are made, 
  • Maintains the club's financial records
  • Prepares the financial reports and budgets

​Membership Officer​
  • Responds to new member enquiries
  • Maintains the membership list
  • Welcomes new members
